This project involved transforming an outdated bathroom into a clean, modern, and highly functional space by converting an old bathtub into a walk-in shower. The existing bathroom featured worn finishes, dated fixtures, and a bulky tub that limited both usability and visual appeal. The renovation focused on opening up the space and introducing a more contemporary design language.
The tub was removed and replaced with a sleek, walk-in shower, creating a more accessible and spacious layout. Porcelain tiles with subtle textures were installed to give the space a cohesive, high-end feel while minimizing grout lines for easier maintenance. A frameless glass enclosure enhances openness and allows natural light to flow.
Modern fixtures in a matte brushed nickel finish were selected to complement the new aesthetic, along with a rainfall showerhead and a handheld system for added functionality. Two recessed niches were integrated into the shower wall for practical storage without disrupting the clean lines of the design. A fold down solid wood bench and two grab bars were also added for safety and conveniance. Project was completed in 18 days.
The result is a streamlined, contemporary bathroom that not only looks significantly more refined but also improves daily usability, accessibility, and long-term value.
